Before she was the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle was — and still is – a self-proclaimed feminist, philanthropist, and human rights advocate. Which is why it should come as no surprise that the royal is using her star power to champion another important cause: sustainable fashion. And since everything the Duchess touches turns to gold (read: sells out in a heartbeat), she's single-handedly inspiring millions of loyal fans to reconsider their sartorial footprint.

During her and Prince Harry's 2018 tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga, the Duchess spent their 16-day trip in a number of sustainable labels that drew attention to local brands and high-end, eco-conscious designers. The fashionable affair proved that you can look incredibly chic while supporting ethical labels that positively impact the environment.

It covers a range of issues such as working conditions, exploitation, fair trade, sustainable production, the environment, and animal welfare." Sounds like something we can definitely get behind. Ahead, see Meghan's favorite eco-friendly brands — we dare you to not be inspired.
