Cher's 'Half-Breed' Outfit, 1972
Since the first days of her fame, performer Cher has been known to push the limits of propriety and taste in the name of a good show. In 1973, Cher, who is of Cherokee and Armenian heritage, donned this Bob Mackie-designed ensemble to perform her single "Half Breed" on The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour. The song reached number one on the Billboard charts.
