Madonna's Bustier, 1990
Of course a "Women Who Rock" exhibition devotes plenty of space to the perennial Queen of Pop, Madonna. The Michigan native was the quintessential video star in the 1980s and 1990s, shocking her critics with each provocative reinvention. Fashion played a huge part of that, of course. The performer wore this Jean Paul Gaultier-designed bustier onstage during her Blonde Ambition tour in 1990.
