Why It Works: Emma Stone's Stylishly Eclectic Look

Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone (PacificCoastNews.com)

There’s nothing more beautiful than young love. Oh wait, there is: two ridiculously good-looking celebrities in love. And StyleBistro, like Andrew Garfield, has an unbearable crush on Emma Stone—from her ginger locks to her porcelain skin to her Disney-princess-size blue eyes. To make matters worse, she puts out that utterly approachable vibe which makes us feel like we just might have a shot at being friends with her: There we’d be at her house, sitting around, braiding eachother’s hair and confiding our deepest secrets. Like how we worry guys at bars are only looking at her when we go out, and how she worries that it’s too soon for another Spiderman movie with the exact same plotline. It is weird, right? She’d ask. Totes weird, we’d admit before suggesting we eat cookie dough. Oh right, let’s talk about her outfit now.

Hat and Scarf
What do you get when you pair a floppy, ribboned felt hat with a hint of Indiana Jones about it with a chunky black and white scarf? Usually a disaster, but for some reason we’re feeling this. Maybe it’s the fact that the mismatch lends the whole ensemble a “just rolled out of my Ivy League dorm room bed and threw on this hat I picked up at the flea market” effect.

Jeans
These faded red skinnies check the colored jeans box without screaming trendy. Punctuated by metallic ballet flats, the vibe is modern Nantucket.

Coat and Bag
It may not be shockingly original, but there’s something to be said for the classic single button black riding coat. We’ve yet to find an outfit that doesn’t benefit from this added dose of prep school chic—and, moreover, the selection ups Emma’s inherent Victorian aesthetic. The gold clasped nude bowling bag adds extra polish.
