What to Wear: Urban Snow Bunny

Whether the day's itinerary calls for ice skating, sledding, or snowman building, festive weekend winter activities pretty much guarantee a photo-op. (It's a good thing too—your triple axel isn't going to photograph itself).

So while you've been busy shopping for a thermos in which to tote your secret hot chocolate mix (two thumbs-up for that Kahlua-spiked recipe), we've been perfecting the art of snow princess sartorial.

For these priceless chilly moments, we suggest a jacket that breaks from the standard neutral parka formula—because a pattern plays nicely off a frosty white background. Top it off with a hat with personality, a wool skirt with ribbed tights and snow-ready boots, a turtleneck sweater to layer with, and you've got yourself a montage-worthy wardrobe. Just add a nolstagic yuletide soundtrack with a modern twist, and you're pretty much starring in your own Richard Curtis flick.
