What to Wear: Black Friday

We know, it's not even Thanksgiving yet and we've already told you what to wear for dinner, second-helpings, and the pajama party that follows. But we didn't get that Girl Scout Preparedness Badge for nothing (not to brag, but we also totally aced the knot-tying one on the second try).

So today, a mere four days in advance, we're coming at you with our uniform of choice for Black Friday. Let's be clear; while style is obviously always important, the objective in this high-stakes shopping situation is to leverage fashion with utility. Your fellow shoppers are coming prepared, so it's crucial that you a) stay loose, and b) don't underestimate them.

Let's start with the wait outside. While you feverishly anticipate the opening of those store doors, rock a puffer jacket to keep the cold away, then layer with a simple tee—because once you get inside you just know that temp is going to rise. Next, don't forget a watch (you'll want your phone out of harm's way, so opt for an elegant option to remind yourself to act like a lady, or a digital one for those of you who've lost the ability to do analog). Finally, finish with a pair of laquered skinny jeans—because you don't want any extra fabric adding drag. (Also, throwing a little glare at your competitors couldn't hurt.)
