We're suckers for some good on-screen drama, especially when the wardrobes of the leading ladies (and fellas) help tell the story—not to mention give us some major closet inspiration. Over the weekend, there was much to be celebrated, as actors and designers assembled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles to admire the work of Emmy-nominated costumes.

The event also launched the Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design Exhibition at the campus, which will be open to the public until September 20. For those of you who can't make it out to LA—and to help you get as pumped up for the return of our favorite fall series as we are—take a look at some of the impressive work on display.
