Anna Wintour,
Andre Leon Talley, the fashion bible's inimitable Editor-at-Large-slash-Contributing-Editor, is rumored to be leaving the publication.
A report in the New York Post's "Page Six" gossip column cites sources that claim Talley's longstanding television ambitions have left a sour taste in Wintour's mouth—the icy editrix has long been suspicious of the medium and, following Talley's star turn alongside
Tyra Banks on
America's Next Top Model a few seasons back, demoted the larger-than-life fashion personality from his plum Editor-at-Large position to Contributing Editor.
"The powers that be aren't huge fans of his television aspirations," a source told the newspaper, "and they want to sever all ties now."
Talley recently inked a development deal with NBC's Ben Silverman, Executive Producer of hit series including
The Biggest Loser,
The Office, and
Mob Wives. Andre Leon Talley's upcoming television show speculated to be a blended talk-reality show centered around his relationships with people in the fashion industry and beyond.
Let's take a look at some of our favorite photos of Andre Leon Talley, who we always thought of as a bright spot in the otherwise rather serious world of
Vogue. We're sure he will be sorely missed at Conde Nast.
