Oh, don't forget to return each day for more StyleBistro Awards categories! The winners will be announced on August 26th.

Kate Middleton's Classic Chelsea Blowout

So, this was a big year for Kate Middleton. No, we're not talking about a certain new royal addition. (Silly you!) We're talking about her hair. This was the year Middleton made hundreds of public appearances (while pregnant!) and not once did she have a strand or two out of place. Oh, and remember back in November when the Duchess experimented with bangs? Don't pretend you didn't consider calling your stylist for similar chop. Bottom line: no one has mastered the good old-fashioned tousled blowout quite like Middleton. After all, she is rumored to visit her same pre-royal salon three times a week. That's commitment!

Miley Cyrus' Razored Chop

Let's be honest, Miley Cyrus was the one who started it all. Her daring and seemingly out-of-the-blue decision to chop off her hair in favor of a short razored pixie caused quite a commotion. But there's no denying it, she rocks her new 'do. From teasing it into a punk fauxhawk to smoothing it down for a softer touch, Cyrus had fun with her new hair. Whether you loved it or hated it, Cyrus' chop started a hair revolution — ok, that may be dramatic. But you know what we mean! Other big name celebs — like umm Beyonce — even "pulled a Miley" and said goodbye to their long locks.

Anne Hathaway's Delicate Pixie

As Miley Cyrus proved, this was the year to go short! But one of the first celebs beside Cyrus to do so was Anne Hathaway. Hathaway shed her once long chestnut strands for her role as Fantine in Les Miserables. And good thing she did. Her role ended up winning her an Oscar! But that's not the only thing she won. She scored some major beauty points in our book for her daring 'do — especially when she dyed it platinum!

Karlie Kloss' the 'Karlie'

Not only is Karlie Kloss turning heads in the fashion world, but the 21-year-old model is stirring up the beauty scene, as well. This year Kloss debuted what
Vogue dubbed the "Chop.' For the mag's January 2013 issue, Kloss said goodbye to about seven inches of her flowing brunette tresses. Instantly, the beauty world was a-buzz with the new 'do. Garren Defazio was the mastermind behind the "it" style and insists that it's neither a bob nor a shag. Well, whatever it is, we just LOVE it on Kloss. And apparently, so did the rest of the world. The style ended up being referred to more commonly as the "Karlie" over the "Chop".

Rihanna's Ever-Changing Locks

Go ahead and call her the wildcard. Rihanna is not about sticking to one look for every long. In fact, it seems like just about every day the singer is debuting a new 'do. This year alone we've seen her sport a super short boy cut, shellacked retro curls, caramel waves, a shaved side, and gray-hued tips. And that's not even scratching the surface! If there's one thing we know for sure, it's that Rihanna loves to surprise us with ever-changing locks. We can't wait to see what's next!

But what do you think? Who had the the most iconic hairstyle this year? Sound off in the poll below!
