For three seasons, Stephanie Pratt
captivated audiences on MTV's hit reality show The Hills
with her sunkissed good looks and Southern California style. While some might be intimidated having their every move and wardrobe decision captured on camera, Stephanie embraced the challenge, picking up many fashion tips along the way.
As StyleBistro's guest editor, Stephanie happily spilled her style secrets from the items currently topping her shopping wish list (lots of color!), to how you can attain her beachy glow all year long, without the risk of skin damage.
These days, Stephanie has both a new reality TV show and a line of handbags in the works. See more snippets from our exclusive interview with guest editor Stephanie Pratt!SB: How would you define your sense of style?
It's pretty LA casual. I go back from being really feminine to kind of a tomboy. I'll either wear a flannel, jeans and converse, or some wedges and a sun dress.
SB: What article of clothing in your closet gets the most wear?
Definitely my Wildfox baggy beach jumpers. I always grab those to go to the market and I always wear them when I fly because they're so comfortable and cute.
SB: You must get a lot of fashion swag. How do you decide what to keep?
I just love clothes so much that I used to be a hoarder. I would buy things without trying them on and, when people sent me things, I'd always keep them. Now when people send me things I'm like, 'No. I'm not going to like how this looks on me, this won't look right on camera,' and I send it back.
SB: What trends do you avoid like the plague?
You know what I've never been able to get on board with—those Oxford shoes. I can't pull them off. They're cute on Kate Bosworth but, I don't know, I think it's hit or miss.
SB: What do you always carry with you?
Always a credit card and money, 10 different lip glosses—literally all different colors—eye liner, an eyelash curler. I use the Armani one. And then my Makeup Forever powder compact, gum or mints. And a peanut butter and jelly bar. I get cranky if I don't eat!
SB: How do you maintain your California glow year-round?
I put fake tanner on my face as often as I can because I always feel better with some kind of color. I also use Bare Escentuals bronzer; it's called Warm Radiance. It's the best!Want more details on Stephanie Pratt's beauty routine and spring shopping pics? Click here:
