According to a report in WWD, the Italian fashion house has teamed up with Estée Lauder to create its first scent, which is said to be darker and spicier than the other "floral and fruity" designer fragrances on the market.
“The perfume reflects Marni’s fashion, certainly,” Consuelo Castiglioni, Marni’s creative director, told WWD. “Because it’s a perfume that’s quite individual, that doesn’t evoke anything in particular. It’s for a woman who dresses for herself, who doesn’t follow trends but is sophisticated and also maybe a little eccentric.”
A spritz of Marni will cost you a tad more than your average department store perfume—at $105 for 65-ml and $155 for a 120-ml polka-dotted bottle, the designer plans to target a more aspirational market.
The fragrance debuts in February and be available in Saks Fifth Avenue stores nationwide. Woot! Are you as excited as we are? What's your fave designer fragrance? Sound off in the comments below!
