Jeremy Scott, the wild child of New York Fashion Week, showed a concise and well-edited spring 2013 collection at MADE Fashion Week at Milk Studios yesterday afternoon to a crowd that included this season's most ubiquitous front-rower, Olympian Ryan Lochte—who was sitting next to Tyra Banks, celebrity stylist Johnny Wujek, and Paris Hilton.

There were some amazing details in Scott's spring 2013 Middle-East-meets-B-boy-with-a-French-luxury-fashion-house-send-up collection. The sequined leopard-patterned black-and-gold mini-burqas, the toga-draped, classically printed and subtly pleated silk scarf dresses—for both men and women!—and this one amazing placement-print swimsuit:

Our biggest obsession, though, were the machine-gun gold pailletes that dangled off the sheer mesh dresses (top). Political statement or fashion statement, we like seeing a bit of toughness and aggression on the runway every once in a while.

Here are five of our favorite looks from the spring 2013 Jeremy Scott collection:
