Type-A shoppers, rejoice! Personalized shopping site Shop It To Me, which began as an email-based markdown alert service back in 2005, is adding another level of organization to your sale-stalking habits with its new feature, Threads.
Here's how it works: Users go to shopittome.com/threads where they take a quiz about their personal style, check off their favorite brands, and tick boxes next to the items they shop for the most (here's where the answers get really specific, with categories like "Audrey Hepburn-Inspired," "Contrast Sleeve Jackets," and my favorite, "I <3 Shiny Things"). Then, members fill in their sizes, set their price points, sit back, and let Shop It To Me Threads create pages of on-sale items specifically tailored to their tastes.
It's kind of like Pinterest, if Pinterest did the pinning for you. And even though Threads is still in its beta phase, it's pretty smart! Case in point: After I signed up, Threads recommended a Cynthia Rowley shift dress that I mentally wish-listed last season — only this time around, it's way less spendy.
