L-R: Shadow Stripe Print Jumpsuit, $180, Long Fringe Tassel Dress, $190)From her passion for Ibiza and the Balearic islands, to her penchant for basic black, love of all things vintage, and her cool downtown style, Kate Moss's latest capsule collection for British retailer Topshop brings the best of the supermodel-turned-designer's fashion sensibility straight to your closet. Which is pretty darn amazing, especially considering that Kate's latest coup her fashion editor status for British Vogue.
Simply called Kate Moss for TOPSHOP, the 40-piece collection ranges in price from $70 to $1200, and takes inspiration from Kate's own wardrobe. With an overall focus on detail (including hand-stitching, beading, and more) luxurious fabrics are as international as the stamps on Kate's passport. There are silk chiffons from London Soho, gold lame from Italy, and lace from India.
Divided into four conceptual design categories (Balearic Dressing, Pyjama Dressing, Cocktail Hour, and Tailoring Noir), some of the line's standout pieces include elegant jumpsuits ($180), flirty fringe tassel dresses ($190–$500), and butter-soft boho suede shorts ($150).
(Folk Smock Dress by Kate Moss for Topshop, $170)Any '70s references are no accident, since some of the pieces are actually based on Kate's favorite garments from her own life. A blue fringed jacket ($380), for example, is reminiscent of one she has worn to three Rolling Stones concerts. (She calls it her "gig jacket.")
