Easy Outfit Upgrade: The Half Tuck

(Source: Andrew H. Walker/Getty Images North America, FameFlynet Pictures)You're preppy enough to wear an oxford, but not so buttoned-up that you actually tuck it in. Not all the way, at least. Sometimes, what makes a look is that little touch of personality. Maybe it's an heirloom, a signature scarf, or the way you roll your jeans. Maybe it's as simple as a half-tucked shirt.

We love how designer Stella McCartney, harbinger of cool, tucked half of her perfect black oxford into alabaster silk pants for an outdoor spring event. It gives her an easiness that wouldn't be there if she was perfectly pressed and buttoned. Girl crushes Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Cavallari, and Gisele Bundchen all look as though they could have just forgotten the other halves of their shirts, but we think with all the fashion experience these three have, the decisions to keep their shirts untucked were perfectly planned.
