Nicky Hilton and Paris Hilton
may share a gene pool with her fame-loving sister Paris Hilton, but one thing she doesn't share with Paris is her love of vintage! When we sat down to chat with her about her style, she let us in on a few of her vintage shopping secrets.
Luckily for Nicky, Paris has little interest in raiding their mom's closet for vintage Zandra Rhodes and Alaias—yeah, we know, who would pass those up?—so whenever a fab piece is up for grabs, Nicky scores big time. Nicky also loves to hit the pavement and dig for her designer threads. She says:
It's all about digging. I usually find a lot of cute vintage stuff but it doesn't fit well, so altering is key for me. I alter basically everything. There are all these really beautiful dresses, but some of them are really long so I'll chop them and make them into minis.
Normally people don't like to tell about their vintage shop haunts. But Nicky was nice enough to let us in on hers. She says:
I love this one on Third Street (in LA) called Shavon; Wasteland has some cool things sometimes; Foley + Corinna in New York has some cool vintage pieces.
