John Cena filed for divorce from wife Liz Huberdeau (via Facebook) Wrestling star John Cena has filed for divorce from wife Elizabeth Huberdeau, reports TMZ. The WWE personality filed paperwork to end the marriage in Florida, citing that the relationship is "irretrievably broken."
Apparently Huberdeau has already hired the same attorney Hulk Hogan's wife Linda used in her messy divorce. However, TMZ reports Cena and his wife, who was his high school sweetheart, have an iron-clad prenuptial agreement that will make it hard for her to get much out of him.
Her lawyer recently released a statement acknowledging the divorce: "Although it is indeed unfortunate that John Cena decided to divorce his high school sweetheart Liz Cena; particularly, after they have come so far in their lives and in his career together, Liz will and really has no choice but to pursue all of her rights and entitlements."
The lawyer also claims Cena surprised his wife of three years with the divorce filing. Apparently they'd been having problems but Huberdeau was convinced they could work things out. Clearly, Cena thought differently.
More of the most fashionable sports wives and girlfriends:
Victoria's Secret supermodel Adriana Lima is married to Serbian basketball star Marko Jaric. He proposed in 2008, on her 27th birthday, and they got married on Valentine's Day 2009. Their daughter, Valentina, was born in November that year.
Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade have been dating since 2008, and they've gone through no shortage of drama in that time. The NBA star was going through a bitter divorce when he courted the actress, and his ex-wife ended up suing Union for allegedly engaging in inappropriate behavior with Wade in front of their children. The tension seems to have subsided and the couple is still going strong.
Teyana Taylor and Brandon Jennings were hot and heavy in late 2010 before splitting a few months later. The hot singer explained the breakup on her Twitter page, and it didn't sound pretty. Taylor has since been linked to Kanye West and Drake.
Suzie Ketcham isn't with her basketball beau either, but she's still on reality TV! She and Michael Olowokandi met while attending Pepperdine University and had two kids before breaking up.
Allison Baver is a champion speed skater and reportedly had a fling with NBAer Dwight Howard. They reportedly got together in early 2011, but no word as to what become of their relationship. Baver has also been linked to fellow speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno.
