The most amazing thing at the spring 2013 DKNY show—besides the clothes, the celebrities, the seamless organization, and the models—was the staging. Instead of a conventional catwalk, where the models emerge onto the runway from backstage, at the DKNY show, the editors, buyers, celebs, and VIPs sat indoors and the models walked in from off the street—yes, as in outside.
