(Photo by Getty)Sometimes the simpliest updos can be the chicest, and that's exactly what the ultra-romantic, low ponytails at
Jenny Packham were — chic in its most minimalist form. See for yourself:
(Photo by Getty)To emphasize the elegance of Packham's mid-17th century-inspired collection, TRESemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu created a soft, loose ponytail with polished ends — and finished each pretty pony off with a satin ribbon that matched the models' gowns.
(Photo by ImaxTree)To get the look at home follow these super-DIY'able steps:
Step 1: Start by applying
TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Blow Dry Lotion ($5.39 at Soap.com) throughout the roots and middle portion of damp locks, then spritz
TRESemmé Platinum Strength Strengthening Heat Protect Spray ($4.39 at Target.com) to the ends.
Step 2: Blow dry with a
Mason Pearson brush (or any natural bristle brush) for a straight finish
Step 3: Create a part down the center and then section hair in two parts, separating across the back of the head from ear to ear
Step 4: Gently tease the underneath section and along the horizontal line from ear to ear
Step 5: Loosely pull hair into a low ponytail at the nape of the neck, letting hair fall out around the face — this is what will give it that soft, ultra-romantic sensibility. (IE - Wispy, fall-out pieces are a good thing!)
Step 6: Secure with an elastic and finish with a ribbon
