Catherine Malandrino Spring 2013 (photos taken by StyleBistro)
Walking into a Catherine Malandrino
presentation you'd expect to see statuesque models draped in the designer's signature Grecian silhouettes.
This year, CM fans should prepare to be a little surprised. Structured pieces like bandage dresses, pencil skirts and even track jackets (what? zippers?) stood in a white and pastel color palette (another first) on matching pedestals.
What remained the same for Spring 2013 was Malandrino's attention to detail and love of beautiful textures, this season it was in the form of sequins, embroidered mesh, fishnet socks and even fluffy pumps.
Check out the detailed shots we captured and tell us what you think: Do you love this new design direction or do you miss the old artsy style?
