BCBGMaxAzria,
Herve Leger, plus a slew of other brands under the
BCBGMaxAzria Group umbrella, he also conducts business meetings
and smoke breaks all without ever leaving his desk — evidence of which we witnessed after visiting his Manhattan-based studio earlier this week.
So when we asked Mr. Azria what his spirit animal is, we shouldn't have been too surprised by his answer: A cat...
and a dog! He's both!

Also, just so we're clear, that's not to be confused with a
catdog.

Balance and harmony are certainly important when it comes to juggling many roles, no? And speaking of being kept busy, Azria is also releasing a line of
Herve Leger by Max Azria shoes this fall — which will include the very heels that pranced down the runway at his fall 2013 show yesterday!
"Herve Leger is focused on a very sophisticated product, a sophisticated garment," Azria said. "We focus, of course, on dresses, but we are opening the window for all the products — leggings, shoes, bags, etc. As we know,
shoes are a very strong part of your look, so we felt the need to create a shoe that will go with the dresses. These are very sexy shoes."

Um, sexy, indeed. According to
WWD, the shoes will retail between $700 and $1,200 and will be sold online and in Herve Leger stores, high-end retail chains, and specialty boutiques.
