Toying with Texture: Custo Barcelona

Custo Barcelona walks the runway at his Fall 2012 show. (Getty)To create an experimental collection with a wild and truly unique vibe, designer Custo Dalmau turned to texture. The result? Patchwork knits juxtaposed with leather, sequins on fur and a wholly contemporary take on ready to wear.
Toughening up his eclectic looks were fringed lace-up boots worn over fuzzy socks. Knotted and mussed updos resembled knit hats, while metallic blue shades shouted rock 'n roll.
While Custo Barcelona's fearless take on fall fashion may not be for the faint of heart, there's something very refreshing to be said for this playful and no holds barred approach to style.
