The Femme Fatale: Jenny Packham Fall 2012

Romantic, seductive and clearly inspired by '40s glam divas, Jenny Packham's fall collection was walked across the runway by models instructed backstage to convey strength with every step. Jenny's leading ladies did not disappoint as one femme fatale after the next strutted her stuff across the smoky runway.

Jenny brought her 21st century film noir fantasy to life using sumptuous, figure-hugging fabrics and glimpses of skin that focused attention on the female form. Forget loose babydoll shapes and understated glamour, Jenny's vision was more in line with vintage Barbie dolls, complete with pin up hair. Open backs and sheer insets added subtle sexiness, while intricate beading brought star caliber shine.

With an A-list clientele that reads like a who's who of red carpet stunners, we imagine Jenny designed a pewter liquid metal gown with Angelina Jolie in mind, while several romantic designs had Kate Middleton written all over them. As for Dita Von Teese, who sat front row, we couldn't help but notice her perk up at the sight of this Peter Pan collared jumpsuit.
