's Spring/Summer 2013 New York Fashion Week
Show was like an electric shock—with its neon hues, strong silhouettes, and unexpected textures.
The beauty look reflected the collection's futuristic theme with its minimal, bold, and bright yellow eyeliner. Besides the highlighter-hued lid, everything else on the face was left nude.
Here's how you can recreate the look for yourself for a fun night out:
"It's kind of like you took a highlighter pen and went shh
on your eye with thick liner," says Romy Soleimani of MAC, motioning in a straight horizontal line. "And that's really it."
Soleimani told us to first take MAC's pure white chromaline
and line the lid. Then you dab on MAC's pigment
in rocket yellow. To finish off the eye swipe on MAC's Haute and Naughty
mascara in true black—but only use the thinner brush (its the top one)! To complete the look dab on MAC's pearl highlighter
at the top of your cheekbones. (StyleBistro)(StyleBistro)
There's only thing left to infuse with color—toes! The model's fingernails were nude, but their toes matched the electric yellow color of their lids.
After we emerged from backstage to take our seats, we came across a familiar face. Yup, we saw Ryan Lochte for the second day in a row and
he remembered us (clearly, it's fate)! He was busy snapping pictures with tons of giggling girls, so we sadly weren't allowed to ask him any questions—especially about his sparkly necklace. Jeah!
Lochte was wearing a sparkly necklace!
