For a Spring 2013 collection as sweet as Christian Siriano
's, we were pretty surprised to find condoms—and only condoms—in our swag bag.
They were cute condoms too. After a quick skim of the press release we realized that the prints on the condom packaging were actually Siriano's prints from his runway collection. (StyleBistro)
Turns out Siriano and Proper Attire
are collaborating to make condoms cute (Proper Attire has collaborated with many other fashion designers before—including Alexander Wang
and Isaac Mizrahi
). The profits of the collaboration benefit Planned Parenthood, so they're condoms for a cause.
Now, onto how those same prints looked the on the runway. To sum it up: the show was a girly-girl's dream
. Pretty pinks, mints, and pearls fluttered down the runway. But we were really left gawking at his gorgeous bow-adorned shoes. There was also a ton of sparkle, feathers, tulle and chiffon that made us swoon.
Here are our five favorite looks from his New York Fashion Week
Spring Summer 2013 show:1) Bow-Adorned Mary Janes
While the dresses were certainly beautiful, these shoes actually made us drool.
Here they are from the front: (Getty images)2) Pearl-Embellished Peplum: (Getty images)
This reminds us of Breakfast at Tiffany's
. We just want to stroll down Fifth Avenue in it (with those bow shoes above, of course). 3) Barbie Meets Biker: (Getty images)
A bubble gum pink jacket? Now that's a look we can get behind. We're also loving this darling polka-dot party dress.4) Breakfast at Tiffany's Take Two:
Another Breakfast at Tiffany's
dress! We're obsessing over its shiny seafoam bodice and free-flowing skirt. Can we please find a party to wear this to? 5) Shiny Lace-Ups(Getty images)
Um, we want to sleep in these shiny lace-ups they're so pretty. They're the type of shoe that make baggy jeans and a tee look super styled.
