Peplums and Big Brows Are Here to Stay

Ashlee Simpson and a newly blond Leigh Lezark were seated front row at the show to witness loads of army green fabric, structured jackets, and peplum-adorned dresses. We can't deny the flattering factors of the trend; we're pro anything that hides the tummy while nipping the waist! But we were a little surprised at its abundance on just day one of NYFW, especially since it was born (or reborn, rather) in Spring 2012. This style has some serious staying power.

Another look we'll be seeing a lot more of? Full Keira Knightley-esque eyebrows. Chai's models wore their hair in cool weathered ponytails that showcased thick brushed brows and gray smoky shadow. Even those of us with major brow envy have to admit we're happy about this one—are you?
