How to Contour Your Face Like The Flawless Models at BCBG (It's SO Easy!)

Sure, it's easy to fake high, contoured cheekbones on Instagram. (Thanks, X-Pro II!) But what about IRL? While they're not quite as simple to sculpt as the click of an iPhone button, they are easy to achieve if you know the right tricks... Like the one Val Garland and her Sephora team used backstage at BCBGMaxAzria this morning.
(ImaxTree) Hellooo, cheekbones!
"I think a lot of women are scared of contouring in the real world, so an easy trick is to take the color of your foundation and the same foundation a couple of shades darker, and cut that into the curve under your cheeks," Garland said. "When you're using the same product from the same family it's easier to get that contoured look."
Genius, right? It's especially a great alternative for fair-skinned girls as opposed to say bronzer or highlighter.
"If you have pale skin, sometimes too much bronzer can make you look a little bit orange," Garland told us. "So the two shades of foundation is an easy way to achieve that sculpted look without looking like you're too painted."
In case you're wondering, for the exact fresh-faced look at the show, Garland used Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Super-Charged Foundation (in, you guessed it, two different colors) and cut the deeper hue into the models' hollows with a sharp, angled brush like the below.
Afterwards, she took a puffy blending brush and buffed the darker hue through. That's it and ta-da, instant sexy, natural-looking cheeks. Take that Insta filters!
