Emma Watson, Brown University student, Burberry model and consummate good girl—she played goody-two-shoes Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, after all—will take the starring role in the on-screen adaptation of BDSM novel Fifty Shades of Grey, according to documents unearthed by hacker collective Anonymous.
According to reports, Anonymous hacked into German film production company Constantin's internal employee server and found files confirming the casting choice. If this is true, it means that Emma Watson will portray Anastasia "Ana" Steele, the 21-year-old college senior at Washington State University who's seduced by powerful businessman and S&M fanboy Christian Grey. Some light bondage and spanking ensues.
Watson has recently completed shooting Sofia Coppola's The Bling Ring—based on the true story of a gang of teens and young adults who robbed celebrity homes—and will star in This is the End and Noah, both of which are scheduled for release this and next year.
