, for which she won Oscars for Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design. Catherine was also nominated for an Oscar for Best Achievement in Costume Design for Australia
Gemma's role in The Great Gatsby
marks another step in her return to the industry. Following the death of former beau Heath Ledger, Gemma retreated from the spotlight. On her three-year hiatus, Gemma said,
In the full capacity of my life, it was a reassessment of everything and I've made a commitment to myself to address some things that were coming up to do with Heath's passing and also things that were troubling me before we met. So it was a retreat from many things in my life and I did think it was important for me to focus on those things. I didn't know how long it would take. I didn't know if it would solve anything, but I set out to focus inside myself.
We wish Gemma all the best and cannot wait to see her grace the silver screen!
