Kate Upton: Future SI cover model? (Getty)The cover model for the upcoming Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue hasn't yet been announced, but on Thursday, Page Six reported that Dougie enthusiast Kate Upton, 19, is the frontrunner.
Upton couldn't confirm reports, explaining, 'All I can really say is that I'm in the issue." She did mention that she'd be at the issue's launch party in Las Vegas next week, however, adding, "Fingers crossed!"
The Michigan native has been romantically linked to NFL player Mark Sanchez (who, incidentally, was linked to Kim Kardashian in recent tabloid reports), making the Sports Illustrated connection even more sensible. Last year, the cover went to Cristiano Ronaldo's girlfriend Irina Shayk.
