Christy Turlington on Plastic Surgery: 'I Feel Like it's Getting Freakier'
(Daniel Jackson for Harper’s Bazaar) Christy Turlington graces the June/July cover
Supermodel Christy Turlington graces the June/July 2013 issue of Harper's Bazaar—which arrives on newsstands May 28th. Inside the magazine, she opens up about modeling, family, and her philanthropic work. Check out some of the best bits from the interview—and some of the gorgeous photos!—right here.
On aging: "Dan [Jackson] said to me, 'When you smile, you look like you're 16.' And I'm like, 'Yeah—and then there's my neck."
On not getting plastic surgery: "I don't know, I feel like it's getting freakier. Maybe there will be a time when you're an oddball because you're the only one left. I'd rather be the only one, the sole survivor. And in that case? I'll just wear turtlenecks all year-round."
On starting modeling in her teens: "I was going through the age where most people hate themselves, and I was getting attention in my most awkward years. It wasn't all the roses, but I knew enough to take everything with a grain of salt."
