Lauren Hutton Used to Be Kate Moss's Bodyguard

Kate Moss is such a modeling pro at this point that it's easy to forget just how young she was when she first became famous. 14! (What were you doing when you were 14? Asking your mom to borrow/never give back $20 so you could go to the mall? Sneakily watching Lizzie McGuire and feeling really lame about it?) Which is why it's great that she had fellow model Lauren Hutton — who, would've been about 44 when Moss broke into the industry — to look out for her.

"Kate [Moss], whom I knew when she was 14, was always being made fun of by the other models. They were jealous, but I was the tiger queen, so I could crack the whip over them," Hutton told The Telegraph. "When we did the Millennium Vogue cover with all the other models, Annie Leibovitz put me right in the middle of them, and when I heard the catty remarks at Kate, I used my mouth like a bull whip."

Hutton also offered this sage piece of advice: "I used to live on the Bowery when it was crack city, and I'd never go out in heels unless I had done The Test: standing on one heel, whipping off the other and holding it up to someone's head in three seconds. Girls, no matter where you are, you've got to be able to use that shoe as a weapon." So, basically, if you are looking for a bodyguard, Lauren Hutton is your woman.

BRB, trying out that shoe move on all my heels.
