Another day, another Vogue cover for Kate Upton! The model landed the most coveted spot on British Vogue's January 2013 issue—her second major cover for the glossy in as many months (she's on November's Vogue Italia).
While Upton looks gorgeous, as usual, there's one thing missing from the British Vogue shot. Okay, two things (Sorry, Kate Upton brings out our inner frat guy).
Her cleavage. Most editors can't wait to put the swimwear model in something low-cut. Just look at that va-va-voom Vogue Italia shot. And check out Upton's Cosmo and GQ covers.

Alexandra Shulman, British Vogue's editor in chief, explained her styling choices in her January editor's letter. "When I decided to shoot Kate for our first cover of 2013, it was to kick off the year with a young woman who is not a stereotypical fashion model—although, let's face it, she's hardly a heffalump!" Hardly!
She continued, "It's very rare for a girl to move from one area of the business to the other, largely due to the fact that fashion models are almost without curves, whereas swimwear girls are celebrated for them."
So, by putting Upton in the same clothes that she would style any other Vogue model in, Alexandra Schulman is trying to make Kate Upton: Very Serious Fashion Model happen.
