Prince Charles, the heir to the British throne, is a man of many hobbies—he's an avid polo-player, a former fox-hunter, a salmon angler, the patron of more than 20 performing arts groups, a painter (watercolor), is the President of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and heads up several charities dedicated to improving the welfare of children.
This fall, the Prince of Wales can add magazine editor to his impressive list of occupations. Yes, Prince Charles is about to join the ranks of the working media, when he guest-edits Country Life magazine's November 13th issue, which is scheduled to hit newsstands on Charles' 65th birthday.
"Since its launch in 1897, Country Life has been privileged to be given access to the Royal Family at times of national celebrations," said Editor Mark Hedges. "However, this is the first time that a member of the Royal Family has edited the magazine or any other publication." Hedges says the editorial team is keen to "call on his wise input and creativity."
