Louise is helping us kick off our celebrity guest editor feature by taking the plunge and being our first! Every week, a celebrity will be sharing their style secrets and fashion must-haves. When we chatted with Louise, she let us in on what she'll be wearing for spring, her City
co-stars and her best piece of style advice. Here are some snippets from our convo:
SB: What are your top trends for spring?
Brilliantly, there's a lot of 70s coming. Elie Saab was completely like Studio 54—lots of bright colors, one shoulder jumpsuits. The colors I'm most looking forward to wearing are lots of coral, loads of oranges. That's a really nice color if you have a tan.
SB: What's the best piece of style advice you've ever received?
Imagine every purchase with 3 different outfits. If you're buying a top, think: 'that'll go with my pencil skirt, it would go with my gray jeans and it would go with those red heels.' So you know you'll actually work it into your wardrobe.
SB: In an emergency, what is the one thing you'd save from your closet?
I have a sequin top that my mum gave me—or I stole—by Frank Usher that I love. It's quite 70s, it's got these huge gold sequins on it and it kind of shimmers and shakes makes a noise when you walk. It's super glam.
SB: How has your style changed over the years?
Living in LA lets me wear brighter colors and cuter things, because it's so much warmer. I think the weather really affects how you dress. The size of my heels have definitely gotten higher and higher and higher. I'm in massive heels all the time.
SB: Do you still keep in touch with your City cast mates?
I saw Whitney last week. Erin, I'm seeing next week in NY for breakfast. I also did a shoot with Olivia recently and me and Joe tweet each other. So I'm totally in touch which is really nice, because often when shows end you don't keep in touch. It was so much fun, I'm sad that show's gone.
