Olivia Munn's True Blue Glory

(Source: Jerod Harris/Getty Images North America) Shhhh... come here so I can tell you a secret. Closer... yeah, a bit closer. OK. So, I have a little dress-up trick I'd like to share with you, in the strictest of confidences, of course. It comes down to a single word: blue. Yes, that's right. Blue. When I'm feeling a tad tired, under the weather, or just plain old haggard, I've learned that wearing a beautiful blue dress or top can literally brighten up my look with very little effort. Take, for example, the lovely Olivia Munn, who donned a stunning blue J.Mendel gown to the Costume Designers Guild Awards in Beverly Hills this weekend. Though the actress looked anything but fatigued––in fact, to say she was effervescent would be an understatement––she totally proved my blue is better theory.

As you can see below, Olivia's glamorous, slinky gown featured peek-a-boo cutouts that accentuated her curves, and a drapey silhouette somehow reminiscent of both Egyptian styles and old Hollywood. But the devastating color is the clincher of this gorgeous look––and with a hue so captivating, the beautiful Olivia wisely went for super natural, nude-looking makeup. Good call. Now excuse me while I drape myself in blue, too.
