Marion Cotillard's Red Retro Finesse

(Source: Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images North America) Few looks convey Old Hollywood glamour more than a simple, elegant dress, natural makeup, and simple, messy updo––bangs optional. Marion Cotillard beautifully embodied this timeless, retro flavor in NYC last night at the Dior & Vanity Fair with The Cinema Society and Moet & Chandon after party for The Weinstein Company's new movie The Immigrant, in which she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix. In her red, '50s-inspired cocktail dress, the stunning French actress evoked a very Audrey Hepburn-esque vibe (a very good thing, indeed, especially considering the late icon's recent 85th birthday!) The retro gown featured a full, above-the-knee skirt, and a plunging bodice that accentuated Marion's lovely neckline. (Notice how she pulled her hair up into a loose bun to accentuate that line and elongate her neck even further?) We also love her ankle-strap heels, and, of course, that natural makeup: rosy nude lips and dramatic, kohl-rimmed eyes. That's the Old Hollywood recipe, done right.
