The Dutchess married Prince William, also known as the Duke of Cambridge, in a classic-cut dress by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. The Grace Kelly-esque gown was refined and reflected Kate's elegant sensibilities.

Kate wore a long-sleeved lace and satin gown with lace sleeves, a deep V-neck and and flowing 8-feet train. Kate did her own makeup beautifully as expected, and wore her hair in half-up loose curls.

Since Prince William popped the question in December 2010, fashionistas the world over have succumbed to endless speculation about who would design Kate Middleton's wedding dress. Every designer under British rein was pinpointed as a possibility—from traditional royal dresser Bruce Oldfield to chic newcomer Victoria Beckham to edgy Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen. Rumors also flew that Kate would wear not one but three royal gowns. It was confirmed the week of the wedding that her bridesmaids would wear Temperley.
