Jessica White has spent the last 14 years of her life working with the most creative people in the world, on the runway and in front of the camera. But we had to wonder, does it ever get old?
Luckily, we were able to chat with Jessica and ask her exactly what was on our mind. So, does a veteran model ever get nervous? Absolutely. She said: Yes! I love getting nervous. Because it's a challenge. The modeling world is changing every single day. No matter how much you think you know, you never know...If you want to be the best, you basically have to continue to learn. I am good at what I do, but I want to be challenged. I find there are new challenges every single day. I love the fact that before I get on the runway, I get butterflies. It makes it so much more exciting, I'm not complacent. That means I'm still growing. The moment you're not getting nervous, you should probably stop.
We then asked Jessica what she does to help calm her nerves and she let us in on a little secret: She has an alter-ego. Like many people, Jessica turns on a super confident version of herself before stepping in front of the camera or on the runway. She said:
I'm really not the very confident supermodel that the world would think I was. Jessica White is really shy. I hate doing the red carpet, I hate being in front of the camera. So I have this personality that my agency named for me. Her name is Moxie. Moxie is extremely confident, she's very sexy, she's vulnerable at the same time. But she's extremely sensual. That's usually who I turn into when it's time to work...I think everyone has an alter ego. It's always helpful to name the character so you don't get it twisted between who you are at the core.
So tell us, do you have an alter ego?
