Bar Refaeli's Loosely Pinned Updo

Bar Refaeli (Flynet)
Bar Refaeli's loose romantic-looking updo is one of the easiest styles to recreate. Also, it works with a variety of hair lengths (from shoulder-length to super-long) and a lot of different textures.

Below I've included eight steps for duplicating Bar's style. Keep in mind, this look doesn't require precise styling. Just keep it slightly messy and loose and your efforts will be rewarded with a very cool 'do. We also added a youtube video that offers another way of creating something similar.

1. Finger comb hair and gently tousle it. If tresses are very fine or sleek, add a little backcombing throughout the back of the head or mist with a light-hold hairspray.

2. Section out a swath of hair along the front hairline, running from ear to ear and back about four inches.

3. Draw the rest of the hair into a loose ponytail at the middle of the back of the head.

4. Create a bun by twisting the ponytail loosely around its base and tucking ends into the hair elastic.

5. Loosely secure the bun by inserting u-shaped hair pins around the perimeter.

6. Pull back two-inch sections of hair from the temples and incorporate these pieces into the style by wrapping them loosely around the bun.

7. Add a little extra volume to the section along the center of the front hairline by backcombing, then pull it back and loosely pin the ends into place around the bun.

8. Finish the style by giving the entire 'do a healthy misting of hairspray.

See the Loose Hairstyles video. The second style featured is a variation on Bar's look:
