Dianna Agron's updo with its braided headband accent is something we've seen on several celebs, however, her look is unique in that she's opted for a fishbone braid instead of a standard or French braid.

To duplicate her look, section out a three inch band of hair along the front hairline going from ear to ear. Next, begin braiding this section, starting above one ear, making the braid parralel to the front hairline. To create a fishbone braid, divide the section into two equal parts. Then, pull a very thin piece of hair from along the edge of the hairline and pull it over the large section next to it.

Repeat the process on the other side, pulling a small piece from the outside of the other large section and drawing it between the two large sections. To continue, simply keep pulling small pieces into the middle of the two large sections.

Once the fishbone braid reaches the other ear, plait ends into a regular braid and secure with a clear hair elastic. Take the remaining tresses and finger comb to ensure hair retains a tousled texture, then, including the braided ends,  loosely twist and pin. Mist the finished 'do with a touch of hairspray.
