Love Maggie Grace's adorable updo? So do we! Reproducing it, though, might seem a bit intimidating—there's a lot going on. But if it's broken down, section by the section, it will seem less complicated.

Here are the 8 steps for recreating Maggie's combination braids and bun:

1. Section out two-inch swaths of hair, on either side of the head, starting from slightly above the ears and running about three inches along the back hairline.

2. Braid the sections, incorporating a French braid along the scalp and a regular braid out to the ends.

3. Section out all the hair from the top of the head, from the ears upward.

4. Take the rest of the loose hair from the back of the head and pull it out to 90 degrees. Twist this section tightly and then draw the twist down to the nape of the neck and wind it around to create a bun. Insert u-shaped hair pins around the perimeter to secure it in place.

5. Draw back the hair from along the temples and combine it all in a twist at the back of the head. Pull the twist down and wrap it around the bun, adding more hair pins to hold it in place.

6. Pull back all the remaining loose hair at the top of the head, twist it together and, just like in Step 5, wrap it around the bun, securing with hair pins.

7. Take the braids and pull them in opposite directions under the bun, then pull them up along either side of the vertical twists at the back of the head. Hide the ends by tucking them under some hair and pin them in place.

8. Mist the completed style with hairspray.
