Emily Blunt's Wavy Updo

From the front, Emily Blunt's updo almost looks almost like a very short bob haircut. However, she started out with a slightly longer than jaw-length bob that was rolled up along the back hairline and pinned.

Her look is a romantic option and also easy to duplicate. Below I've included the nine steps for recreating the look along with a video found on youtube that shows how to style an alternate version of the faux bob.

1. Begin with hair that has a bit of wave. Either accentuate natural waves or curl straighter hair with a medium-barreled curling iron.

2. Make a deep side part and section out a two-inch piece of hair from the part, going along the front hairline.

3. On both sides of the head, section out hair along the temples.

4. Finger comb the rest of the hair and loosely pull it back into a ponytail at the nape of the neck.

5. Roll the ponytail, starting at the ends and tightly rolling the hair upward, securing the roll with bobby pins at the nape of the neck.

6. Take one of the sections of hair from along the temples and loosely sweep it back while forming an upward twist along the back hairline. Tuck the ends of this section into the rolled ponytail and insert a few more pins to hold this piece in place.

7. Style the opposite side by repeating Step 6.

8. Take the final section and smooth it along the front hairline and pin it in place about two inches out from the part. Keep the ends loose and wavy.

9. Mist the completed style with a healthy blast of hairspray.
