Terry Richardson is no stranger to controversy; Earlier this year, model-turned-filmmaker Rie Rasmussen publicly slammed the him for what she considered inappropriate and lecherous behavior. Now the fashion photographer has garnered attention for a provocative new spread for French
Vogue's 90th anniversary issue, in which model
Crystal Renn is pictured hoovering a variety of colorful foods.
The foods with which
Renn poses are laughably obvious: spaghetti, black sausage and a live-looking octopus were all on the American model's menu. While Crystal looks gorgeous tearing into a raw strip steak, it's hard to understand what makes her faux-gluttony so fashionable. It's also unclear why Renn, who vocally disapproves of being labeled a "plus-size" model, would sign on for such a potentially disastrous undertaking.
What do you think—are the shots provocative or simply distasteful?
