Celebrity television chef, The Taste judge, and one of the original pioneers of the gastroporn cooking show genre Nigella Lawson has recently dropped more than 28 pounds—going from a lush size 12 (UK size 16) to a size 8 (UK size 12). But while she attributes her newfound figure to portion control and a healthy dose of exercise in the forms of Pilates and personal training, insiders say that Lawson had a little extra help.

"Nigella loved her food and always will," a source told the Mirror. "She will never compromise on epicurean delight for the sake of her waistline and isn't the kind of woman to survive on rice cakes and cottage cheese. But she wanted to lose a few pounds, and decided hypnotherapy would mean she could still eat her favorite foods—but in smaller sizes."

According to the newspaper, Lawson signed up for $450/hour sessions with Susan Hepburn—a London hypnotherapist who previously helped Lily Allen drop from a size 8 (UK size 12) to a size 4 (UK size 8)—and over the course of 14 months, slowly and steadily, she lost nearly 30 pounds!
