We already knew about aspirin's positive anti-inflammatory effects, but according to CNN health reports, scientists now believe the drug can actually reduce the risk of melanoma AKA the most dangerous form of skin cancer. The assistant professor of dermatology at Stanford University said aspirin "seems to specifically promote tumor cell death in certain cells." In case the worry of gaining some extra poundage keeps you smoking, WebMD revealed the benefits of quitting still outweigh (no pun intended) those risks. Regardless of any gain, you'll cut your chance of heart disease and stroke in half. [WebMD]
