Free Tracy Anderson Workout Video on Gwyneth Paltrow's GOOP [VIDEO]

(Getty Images) According to Tracy Anderson running may not be doing the trick for getting you to lose unwanted weight.

Been running for weeks and not seeing any results? Don't worry. Trainer to the stars Tracy Anderson explains in a reccent video posted on Gwyneth Paltrow's website Goop that running can actually exacerbate "problem areas" for many women.

But Anderson is not condemning all cardio. She is simply saying that it will not give women the toned look so many of us crave.

"While running and cycling may burn calories, they do not design feminine muscles or get rid of an imbalance that may masquerade as a 'problem area,'" says the 37-year-old mom.

She agrees that women should still monitor calorie intake but notes that not all methods of burning calories are equal.

"Running a marathon is a real and measurable accomplishment, but if you're looking to lean out and lose weight, training to complete 26.2 miles isn't going to give you the physical results you crave," Anderson says.

She also says that women should be conscious of what they eat before a workout. She explains that eating pasta and heavy carbs before a workout will not generate the same amount of fat burning as eating protein prior to a workout.

Anderson, who designed her method of exercise to help her lose over 50 pounds of post-baby weight, is famous for whipping stars like Paltrow, Courtney Cox and Victoria Beckham into shape. Her six days a week, hour a day intense workouts are specifically designed to target, tone, and reshape women's bodies.

Gwyneth Paltrow called Anderson "freaking awesome," and we're not about to question an Oscar winner with arms like this.
