(Photo by Getty)At last night's 26th Annual ARIA Awards,
Taylor Swift swapped her signature bright red lip and liquid-lined cat eyes for smoky teal shadow and high-shine gloss, but one beauty element remained classic TSwift—her brilliant retro hairdo.
The country darling wore her dirty-blond tresses twisted along the sides and rolled up into a voluminous bun, letting her bangs showcase her sparkling baby blues.
Check out 10 of Tay's best
retro updos so far; plus, a few quick tips on how to copy the singer's styles at home. And don't forget to vote for your favorite in our poll, below!

(Photos by Getty)Styling Tip: To fake a voluminous curly bob a la Swift at the 2011 CMT Artists Of The Year Celebration, curl your hair per usual, pull it back gently, and loosely secure an elastic at the ends. Holding on to the hair-tie, flip your hair under and pin the elasticized part to the nape of your neck. Fluff and even hair out on the sides for lots of body!
8) Roll Model

(Photo by PacificCoastNews.com)Styling Tip: To make ultra-romantic braided hairstyles more daytime appropriate, opt for sharp separates with a youthful sensibility over super-dressy styles, like flared frocks.
6) A Side of Chignon

(Photo by PacificCoastNews.com)Styling Tip: With the right accessories, even a classic ponytail can look like an elegant retro updo. Make like Taylor and curl your tresses before securing them back into a pony. Spritz your locks with a
light-hold hairspray, then accent the look with a playful headband in a funky color palette—like mustard and tomato!
4) Ride the Waves

(Photo by PacificCoastNews.com)Styling Tip: To recreate this soft and flowy faux bob, allow straight hair to dry naturally, then brush locks thoroughly with a natural bristle brush. Next, spritz hair with a multi-purpose product like
Bumble and Bumble's Does It All Styling Spray ($14 at Sephora.com). Create a deep side part and secure swooping bangs with a bobby pin. Finally, pull hair back into a very loose, low ponytail, twist it under and pin into place.
2) Keep It Classic
(Photos by Getty)Styling Tip: To get the perfect classic bun every single time, we swear by
Conair's Bun Maker ($4.99 at Ulta.com). The 6-piece kit contains U-pins, an elastic, and a hair donut—all for under five bucks!
