(Dimitrios Kambouris/Getty Images North America)It might not be 1965, but French icon Brigitte Bardot is still hot as ever, and her signature voluminous beehive is making its rounds among some high-profile trendsetters. Might we say, retro never looked so chic.
Hailee Steinfeld nailed the Bardot bump with a half updo that flowed into loose waves and flipped bangs.
(Mark Davis/Getty Images North America)Julia Roberts went all out beehive at the Golden Globes with a pretty twisted chignon that showed off her teased tresses.
(Jason Merritt/Getty Images North America)Similar to Steinfeld, Tyra Banks opted for a half up, half down version of the style. Bodacious curls kept her look glam.
(Axelle/Bauer-Griffin)To try this look for yourself, spray wet hair from root to tip with your favorite volumizer. Part your bangs to your preferred side, and blow dry your hair with a round brush.
When your hair is all dry, spritz on some dry shampoo for extra texture. Next, take a small tail comb and tease hair at the crown. Be sure to leave your bangs (if you have any!) unteased and pushed to the side. Once your hair has been teased, spray it with strong-hold hairspray to keep its shape. Brush back your hair to smooth it out.
Depending on your desired look, pull your hair back into a half ponytail or full ponytail. To go for the half up look, pull half of your hair back and tie it off with an elastic. Wrap a strand of hair (about an inch) around the base and pin it in place with a bobby pin to hide the elastic. For a teased bun, complete the previous steps only gather all of your hair into an elastic and twist hair up into a bun. Add bobby pins to hold it in place.
Finally, spritz a touch or two of hair spray on the poof for hold and pull out some pieces around the face for texture. And just like that, you've got Brigitte Bardot's uber sexy mane.
