Intricately braided hairstyles have been so big over the past few years; if Nicole Richie has anything to do with it, perhaps the twist is on deck to have its own hair moment next.

At the launch of Styletag in New York City last week, the stylish starlet eschewed the traditional plaited milkmaid braid, choosing to recreate the bohemian-inspired crown look with a two-strand twist instead.

And it's easy to see why; it's certainly easier to do if you aren't handy enough to master a beautiful but tricky three- or four-strand braid. Then again, you could just get the look with Medieval Renaissance Twist Style Hairpiece Headband ($32 at ArtFire.com). Slick your hair back and slip the faux twisted hair headband on top. Done and done.
